There is a writer in everyone!

Anyone can write without the fear of being judged. We find ourselves beyond our fears when immersed in true writing.

We need not be extraordinary to pen down words. A word from within can unfold a canvas of expressions. When feelings flow unhindered by the mind, there is spontaneity and depth with which the reader and listener connect.

The IWA Writing Enthusiasts' Club (WEC) provides a loving, nurturing and supporting environment for new, emerging and established writers to organize their profound experiences in words.

The WEC encourages members to bring out the dormant writer in them. It is the words that speak for themselves. The language in which we think and feel is the language in which our writings often turn out the best.

The WEC writers participate in the annual Poetry Festival of Singapore platform, reciting poems in English and other Indian languages.

The WEC has invited eminent authors like Akshita Nanda, Coonoor Kripalani for talks, where they provided valuable insights into their creative process.

WEC organizes events in the genres of poetry, short story writing, current events, festivities, monologues and other subjects dear to the participants.

Being a niche group, WEC works in a close knit way, through fun activities and sometimes exercises, usually in person, to inspire and guide one another. We discuss and critique each other's work to help build individual writing capabilities.

Above all, read, read, read and write, write, write!
